In the past 3-4 years, I have noticed a HUGE increase in stale fuel issues. Fuel goes bad much more quickly than it used to.
If your mower starts hard in the spring, you are just a few weeks away from much bigger problems.
Fuel will eventually not burn in your mower at all, start leaving behind varnish that will clog up your fuel system, and potentially ruin your carburetor.
The good new is it's not that costly to repair, there's a way to prevent it in the future AND your mower probably needed some TLC anyway.
